Start with the project requirements.
Send the approved route or penetration schedule with hole sizes, trench dimensions and member thickness. Clarify who scans, marks, supports, installs, tests and authorizes closing the work. Cutting is not authorization to disturb a structural member.
Include these items in your request
- Approved layout or hole schedule
- Scanning and structural information
- Utility installation and testing sequence
- Restoration and finish requirements
Compare the whole scope.
Ask for clear inclusions and exclusions. Cutting, breakout, loading, trucking, disposal, excavation, base work and new concrete are different tasks. Engineering, investigations, utility work and specialty methods must be assigned rather than assumed.
Keep access and the schedule connected.
Show how people and materials move through the property. A site plan or a simple marked photograph can help explain the work zone, protected routes, staging and the transition to the next trade. Tell us which deadlines are firm and which depend on approvals.
Include required qualifications, site rules, testing, insurance requirements and any specified equipment with the project package. We will review the scope and confirm the proposed methods before acceptance.
