Your project context

General Contractors

A scope you can put into the bid package.

Start with the project requirements.

Send the latest drawings, addenda, bid date and required form. Identify base-bid limits and alternates so cutting, demolition, hauling and replacement are not priced against different assumptions.

Include these items in your request

  • Bid date and plan revision
  • Scope sheet and alternates
  • Insurance, bonding and qualification requirements
  • Access, schedule and other-trade interfaces

Compare the whole scope.

Ask for clear inclusions and exclusions. Cutting, breakout, loading, trucking, disposal, excavation, base work and new concrete are different tasks. Engineering, investigations, utility work and specialty methods must be assigned rather than assumed.

Keep access and the schedule connected.

Show how people and materials move through the property. A site plan or a simple marked photograph can help explain the work zone, protected routes, staging and the transition to the next trade. Tell us which deadlines are firm and which depend on approvals.

Bring your project requirements.

Include required qualifications, site rules, testing, insurance requirements and any specified equipment with the project package. We will review the scope and confirm the proposed methods before acceptance.
