The surface is not the whole picture
Before planning an opening, request available structural drawings and information about embedded utilities or reinforcement. The person approving the cut should understand the building and the limits of the available records.
Assign the investigation scope
Ground-penetrating radar, utility locating and other investigative methods may be needed for a particular project. Method selection, interpretation and structural approval are specialist responsibilities and must be arranged explicitly.
Keep the marked location connected to the plan
Share the approved layout and investigation information with the parties cutting, installing and restoring the opening. A field mark without its limitations or supporting information is not a complete handoff.
Specialty services require confirmation
Our website accepts project inquiries but does not claim ownership of GPR, X-ray, wire-saw or robotic-demolition equipment. Any specialist involvement, qualifications, cost and availability must be confirmed in the written scope.
